Well, today I got to see the Infectious Disease doctor. She did a gallon of blood work, and we will see if anything is found. Still have the ear infection I have had since May of last year, and the whole body pain that keeps flaring up is really becoming a problem. Had to take two pain pills today just to function, and I can't keep doing this. I still have hope of someday soon finding out what is going on, so until then, I will keep my chin up.
Rather boring blog I must say, so maybe I will start adding all the little silly things that happen throughout my day. Like today, while attempting to bowl, one of my best friends made the remark of how I never make it to girls night out because I am always sick. Then she proceeded to argue with me that I am just a hypochondriac. Boy, if people could just look the way the feel!!!! Someday I will be able to prove it, and until then I look forward to the day she gets arthritis and I can tell her it is all in her head. :) Gotta look at the positive, right?
Sick and tired of being sick and tired. Going to try to change my life for the better, and become the person I want to be. More energy, not sick all the time, and able to do whatever I want to do. Tried to do it in 40 days, but since that didn't work,I will take small steps which will eventually make a mile!
well, maybe more than 40. . .
OK, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I could go into a book about all that is wrong with me, but instead of dwelling on health issues that are no longer in my control, I have decided to just change the things I can change and just be content with the rest. This will be my story of the first steps of changing the things I can change. Let's just hope I can do it. If your like me, you never really found any motivation on the internet.Until now! Thanks to others like about.thyroid, and Stop The Thyroid Madness, I hope that by me taking the first steps, I can finally become who I was suppose to be.

made a video too. . .
For anyone who is actually reading this, I did make a video for IAMTHEFACEOFTHYROIDDISEASE.org,
and here it is. . .
and here it is. . .
This sucks. . .
Been awhile again, but with the new year I will try to make a presence more often.
Still have the ear infection that I have had since May, so trying a Infectious Disease Specialist next week. So sick of waking up puffy (which is probably the thyroid) and my right lymph node swollen every morning. New doctor couldn't believe it was still infected, and asked about seeing a Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist. She was a little taken back when I told her I already have and he had told me that the CT-Scan showed an inflamed area, but that he didn't think it was a problem and in his exact words, "With your thyroid problems, you may just be one of those unfortunate people that has swollen lymph nodes." WHAT???? Boy are doctors getting more stupid by the year. . . kinda like the one doctor that told me, "Infections can not last that long" when I told him I still had the sinus infection from six weeks ago when I saw him last. Really? Infections don't last more than a couple of weeks? HIV is an infection, and I am pretty sure it lasts a tad bit longer than a month you moron!
Oh well, I guess I am now what they call a "difficult patient" or as this new doctor so nicely put it as she smiled at me the other day, "Well, you sure are a medical mystery". Um, then can you call Doctor House, because I am sure he could run a few tests and tell you what is not working properly. . .
If only there was a real Doctor House, I would sell my house to go see him.
Until that day comes, I will just keep taking my Natural Dessicated Thyroid meds (probably at the wrong dose) along with my VitD3 daily, and keep marking off my daily list of other supplements, and hope that something changes. Since it doesn't seem to be, I guess it is back to the Internet. (Found some research on Ferritin that could help, but since mine is at 32 (perfectly fine range says two different doctors) I will work on raising that level and see what happens. Maybe in another 20 years I can be back to normal! YEA RIGHT!!
Till then, let's keep our chins up and hope for a better tomorrow. . .
